Dr. Mathieu Boudreau completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at McGill University in 2018, focusing on quantitative MRI techniques for applications in multiple sclerosis research under the supervision of Dr. G. Bruce Pike. Prior to his PhD, he earned his MSc in Physics from the University of Western Ontario, where he studied hyperpolarized gas diffusion MRI.

Mathieu has been a research associate in the NeuroPoly Lab at Polytechnique Montreal since 2018. His research emphasizes quantitative MRI, open science, and reproducible research, with substantial contributions to open-source tool development, including his role as a project maintainer for qMRLab and AxonDeepSeg. Since 2015, he has been an active contributor to MRM Highlights, taking on the role of lead editor in 2020 and serving as deputy editor for scientific outreach for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

Mathieu has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on quantitative MRI, and is actively involved in the scientific community through talks, workshops, and outreach.
